How to Muzzle Punch or Muzzle Thump | Close Combat Techniques | Tactical Rifleman
“MUZZLE THUMPING” is normally a quick reaction to someone in your path, and maybe you don’t have any intentions on killing them but what you do know is that you need to get from one point to another to ensure you did your job in taking down the room as part of a team.
Muzzle Thumping can cause a lot of discomfort, and also has the ability to seriously hurt (even kill) but that all depends on the amount of force, location of the strike and the body composition (& health) of the person you are striking.
Muzzle Thumping is a very effective technique, but you need to know that when you strike you need to draw back quickly and prepare for whatever response that will follow (ie; the struck person tries to grab the barrel or weapon, the struck person stumbles backward or immediately drops, or just backs up then tries to tackle you. Be prepared for whatever reaction, and maintain positive control over your firearm. Just remember, that in close quarters, &/or confined space fighting, whatever tools you bring into a fight can possibly be used against you.
