I understand that background checks are already federally mandated, but what about federally mandated mental health assessments? A lot of these shooters have a clean record, but they're still fucked up mentally and rarely get tested for mental illness before purchasing a firearm.
Those people are so uninformed it's ridiculous. How is it possible to think that background checks aren't being done in gun shops. Also the fact that we have all these weapons is probably the only reason that the shit that's happening in Ukraine hasn't happened here… Texas especially since we are on the border of Mexico.
