Mistakes:
– We refer to the revolver that "won the west" as the Colt Walker, but this gun should be the Colt Single Action Army.

"Doctrine marches one step behind technology" that's really interesting.
3:21 Breaking Bad reference
Why can't we learn about the history of firearms in class? It would be a good excuse to also reach about firearms safety and regulations
9:54 what is going on with his tongue?

"B00galution".
Deep down we are all waiting for the return of matchlocks.
Please make a 20th century update on this! I'm against war, but I'm fascinated by technology
5:12.
Still strange to think it took us longer to go from bronze swords to iron swords than it took to go from iron swords to nuclear weapons😂
You should've include the MG42.

Well, James P. Lee was responsible for creating a box magazine, but Paul Mauser is the one who introduced stripper clip in his 1889 rifle.

3:15 breaking bad reference???
This is an era of weapons development I've always been into but never got around to learning about. A lot of the guides and timelines I read growing up made the transition from musket to rifle seem like an afterthought, maybe with some throwaway lines about minie balls or breech loaders.
Thank you THANK YOU for the deep interesting look into this interesting period of history! <3

The 1860 Henry rifle was also a contender that was used during the Civil War with a 16 round capacity
It had a very well built lever action system
People said you could load it on Sunday and shoot it all week
Interesting fact: German MG42/MG3 with optionable rate of fire from 900-1500 rpm (1200 rpm was mostly used) is supposed to be fastest single-barrel rpm for machine gun. So the scientists during Cold War were looking for solution how to increase even more rate of fire for MGs. They've looked back in the history and they found inspiration in the Gatling gun. Adding more barrels which will fast rotate. And here we are. A10 goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt!!!
Your videos have the best music
