I missed one, number 12 so not too shabby even though looking after someone (b) is called respite work. I read the dictionary a great deal and love to absorb off beat words, it impresses the heck out of people when you lay down a powerful sentence in everyday conversations peppered with ten gallon hat words. My latest is the word dispositive, meaning something final.
Be nice to know what the results mean. Like, get them all vs missing some. I missed one. WHERE DO I RANK?!?
Non-native speaker here from eastern Europe, 10/12. When the questions were about exact definition of the word , I had problems. The reason is, I learned English intuitively (by listening and reading), so I rarely check the dictionary. Basically my understanding of English is based on guessing the meaning of words from context. This is why I could answer Q1-9, but when they asked me to precisely describe the meaning of the word (last three questions), I got only 1/3 and that one that I got right, I wasn't even completely sure about.
Got 11/12. Question 2 got me. I thought bridled might fit. I took English as a second language. *After checking dictionary, i.e restrained. Reticent is an exact definition and I am always happy to learn something new. Thanks for the video.
too easy but it was fun winning for a change
respit is correct but no one uses it,always ite. (except me)

Yep. I’m more than happy. I left school at 15 years of age, with only an understanding of basic English and yet I scored 12 out of 12.
These are far too simple. Any literate adult should know these words easily. 🙄

My score is 9 out of 12 do we need to have no mistakes in order to have C1?
