Something something Russian revolution, something something lots of mosins, something need for concealable "pistols"
The mosin pistol: the worst qualities of any gun you could ever want.
any kind of mosin with a rail or anything of the sorts is an absolute disgrace
This was definitely a trench gun. Or mg/mortar crew secondary. A full size rifle and even carbines and shotguns can't be whipped around a tight corner, or at least not well. And of course is the trenches it could pierce multiple enemies or friendlies.
