Shotguns are WAY BETTER than we thought…
I went on a mission to prove that shotguns are some of the best weapons in R6. Have problem with bad aim or bad recoil management? Run a shotgun! Those aggressive enemies messing you up round after round? Hide around a corner with a shotgun! There are a lot of really good plays and cool things you can do with shotguns that make them very strong choices in Rainbow 6. So I played shotguns for 3 days in champion ranked to see what we could learn.

Playing with Shotguns is playing a completely different game, I used to think Shotguns sucked until I realized that you need a different playstyle to use them effectively.
Doing a great job with ur output bro.
My friend and I run Therminator, where we use Thermite and Thatcher with shotguns (quick play only ofc) and it's super fun to boom open a wall and rush in with them.

Range is why you just use buck for shotguns on attack
Shotguns are close-range sniper rifles when you hit your shots. If the shot misses, you do no damage and, in contrast to automatic weapons, can't quickly correct it with more bullets in quick.

2:25 This isn't true about the laser sights. Despite their description, laser sights also increase ADS accuracy even though they turn off while ADSing. Always use a laser; ADS when you want it to be invisible. Use a thin frame optic like Reflex B.

It's not the shotgun, it's the player. No matter how good the meta or strategy may be it's all about the one playing
Honestly I never understood why Shotguns don't have a headshot multiplier. I understand they don't want 1 stray pellet killing a dude across a hallway, but why not give them 1.5x so they don't just randomly fail at getting what should be easy kills?

Yknow I think you make great videos but saying that one overall weapon in siege is good is really misleading because while you may have the skill and perhaps only show when it works for an average player there is no way this would work all the time, plus with that being said guns in siege are not everything so most of the time kills rely on positioning and timing. That is all, I do enjoy the vids I just don’t like the “this is the real rainbow six meta”

Multiple times lately my teams been down 0-3 in games and we say fuck it and start using shotguns and end up coming back and winning. The one tap potential is OP.

Honestly sledge shotty is very fun because the shotgun almost always downs them, so you can get those BLESSED hammer kills

They’re too situational whereas regular guns work fine everywhere shotguns only excel at close range but regular guns are more versatile you can use them close you can use them at range so ya regular guns are just better especially in a game where you don’t know what’s gonna happen at every second or if there’s gonna be an enemy far away I woudnt wana put all my hope on the enemy being in shotgun range
I know this guy who will never use a laser saying it makes the gun bad. It makes the shotgun much better. You just need to hide the lazer
