Nothing Phone 1 review: more than a light show
Nothing’s first phone doesn’t live up to the immense hype the company generated leading up to its launch. The lights on the back panel and the glyph notifications aren’t a total gimmick, though they’re more of a fashion statement than anything. But overall, the Phone 1 is a solid mid-range device with a good OLED screen, a clean OS, and some fun nods to retro tech.

Don't trust any of these mainstream tech sites. They've all been paid off by Carl Pei. This is an overpriced, overhyped midranger with some disco light gimmick. The cameras are mediocre, the wired audio is horrible, and there's already hardware issues with green tint and dead pixels. Save your money.
i think this phone will be much more attractive if we can customize the glyph light, which one to be turned on and for how long, things like these
Better stereo speakers and a Snapdragon 870 would of made more sense to me
how often do you flip your phone over to see just the back, on any table surface? its none for probably 99% of ppl out there.

There’s nothing special about this phone. Same OS as all the other android phones. It would be great if they developed their own “Nothing” OS.

If it's just around $400 then its a great buy! But 450 up is asking too much.

The screen is certainly not run of the mill, they use a flexible OLED so that they can bend the lower part and make the bottom chin as thin as the bezels (same as iPhones) all around, there's a lot of attention to detail in this phone which is usually missing from mid-range smartphones nowadays.

My daily driver is a 2 and a half year old OnePlus 8 Pro it's still really fast and responsive but only supported until April 2023. I've only had to factory reset it twice, I've had no major issues with it but I'm currently thinking about upgrading to this, I miss the idea of having a notification LED like I had on my older galaxy note 8 before I got the OP8 Pro, tbh I would get this just for the LED's so I don't have to look at my phone 24/7 and the 120Hz Oled because it's hard to use anything less than 120Hz once you've become used to it for a few years.
Would like to see a flagship phone from Nothing.
