JTS M12AK Review: Budget AK Shotgun That Actually Works?
A few months ago, I did something I don’t normally do and bought a gun that I had never even test-fired. I picked up an M12AK semi-auto AK-style shotgun from JTS Group at a pretty ridiculously low price just to see if I could get it to actually run reliably. It seemed like a fun project for the money, and I started with very low expectations.
Over the years, I’ve seen a slew of less-than-stellar performances from AR and AK-style shotguns, which often struggle to cycle a wide variety of ammo – and sometimes any ammo at all. What intrigued me about the M12AK, however, was the clever addition of an easy-to-adjust gas system that might actually solve the problem. So, did it work? Let’s check it out.

Did you join the Hawaiian National Guard?
I can't stand box mag fed shotguns. I'm just a tube guy I guess. Faster top offs & the muscle memory of tube feds has been engrained in my body for years (along with break barrels).
That being said… I used to want one of these SO freakin bad 🤣 Idk why but I just did. Looks like it'd be a lot of fun. So slim & attractive for a "rifle styled" shotgun. I hate to hear about how heavy it is though.
Cool video, thanks for sharing it.
I decided to wait for the engraved sporting clays model.
Groovey.
I bought one of these last year. I had never handled one and was very surprised at how large and heavy it is compared to my standard sheet metal reciever AK 47's in 7.62 X 39. I bought it for $299.00 so I wasn't expecting much but it does perform pretty well. I believe I saw them recently at Classic Arms for about the same price I paid. With a red dot on it, it makes for a pretty darn decent inexpensive self defense shotgun. I put a turkey choke on mine and it clusters OO buck really nicely at 25 yards. Most times all 9 pellets will be in a cluster the size of my hand + a 1/2 hand.
This thing surprised me. Great video, Paul!
Just got mine for 320
This is a useful channel to increase your understanding of guns.

I've had mine for almost 2 years and still have not fired it. I need to get on that.

The sight is not calibrated for Meters x 100, it's set for Meters x10. So that 5 on it is approximately 5O Meters not 500. Reading the owner's manual is a good thing.
Got one. Love it. After the break in It shoots whatever I throw in it.
Got into a online fight with Brendon herrera over this beautiful shotty
Putting one in layaway today
That's not 500meters it's 55.
The more you fire it the better it runs.
