When it comes to self-defense, I’m very sure that a pocket handgun is the most practical concealed carry weapon.
According to the Crime Prevention Research Center, nearly 19 million US residents will have obtained concealed carry licenses in 2020, enabling them to carry a gun for personal protection.
This enormous influx of new gun owners cleared the path for a more varied gun community, which is why pocket carry pistols are currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity.
Particularly for new gun owners, pocket pistols provide a number of advantages. They are well-liked because of how simple they are to use, how discrete they are, and how many aftermarket alternatives there are for them.

Tough…sig p938 is better than mustang and equal but not as pricey as Kimber. Have you seen the new Ruger LCP max? Lcp2 with 10+1
P11 is no longer being produced
You can tell all these high dollar big names are own this channel, Ruger Lcp is a Keltec knockoff
No mention of a Walther PPK, in 380 (9mm kurz)?
Well the only thing I can say about this video is that it was more humorous than SNL has been in the last 20 yrs…thanks for the laugh…taurus curve you a funny dude
Most of the reviews of the Taurus Curve I have seen have been very negative, my own experience with one is that it's horrible, fails to return to battery and miss feeds. I would not trust my life to one and isn't the purpose of a carry firearm?
Ruger LCP Max should be there instead of LCP II
If a taurus auto or a kel-tec are on your list of tops. Every one knows you and your list is bs
A couple of these pistols are not pocket pistols at all. I have tried to use them as pocket pistols and they may fit into your pocket (barely) but that's without a holster, they are not pocket pistols. A true pocket pistol will fit in your pocket with a pocket holster and you will forget that you are even carrying a pistol throughout the day. If you don't mind 22 lr or.32 then those are good options for concealing and comfort. But, if you want a bit more stopping power the Ruger LCP ll in .380 may be the best choice on this list.
If you want a true pocket pistol but you want the power of a 9mm, the Diamondback DB9 is a great choice. I carried a S&W .38 Centennial for close to 30 years. After that I switched to a modern sub compact 9mm (mentioned in this video) for a year or two as my EDC but it was less comfortable than my .38 Centennial and they don't conceal as well as you may think. Now that I am getting a little bit of a Dad bod and I want comfort while still having decent stopping power, I tried out the Diamondback DB9. The modern DB9's are solid pistols that truly fit in your pocket with a holster. They are really well priced, hold 6 + 1 and take Glock sites if you want to switch the sites out. The DB9 is even rated for 9mm +P ammunition and has last round hold open. I don't know if I would run +P through it but it is rated for +P. After firing it for the first time I knew it was the pocket pistol I was looking for. There have been some concerns regarding failure to feed and last round hold open on some guns, so that's something to consider when purchasing a DB9 but mine has been great.
We own a lcp ll, it is just a range toy for us…I suppose it could be carried, but we prefer revolvers, especially in .22…I've got my eye on a Beretta 950bs in .25acp, but at the moment getting by with a NAA .22lr…all these best of, get this, must have lists are generally very subjective…be armed, go in peace…
The Taurus Curve is absolutely terrible, as it curves the wrong way for this southpaw.😒
The keltec p11 works good 12 plus one round mags and low price plus its very reliable
I'm surprised you didn't talk about the LCP Max. It seems to be an improvement over the LCP 2.
All bad choices.. mouse guns Are notorious for jamming And most people don’t practice enough clearing jams slides are also extremely hard to pull back making it hard for women and the elderly also 32 ACP and even a 380 are typically poor choices for self-defense round yes it’s better than a rock.. I’ve carried For the last 30 years of all types of weapons and I finally come to the conclusion that a small compact 38 special J Frame with full wadcutters Is the best choice.. I know I have five or six Depending on model dependable shots And a Hot 38 special round that is a full wadcutter Will do some very destructive damage… Don’t try using hollow points in any of these weapons because they will not reliable Expand out of a short barrel and if they do expand you’ll lose too much penetration… I often see women at the range trying to handle one of these automatic mouse guns and I told them you need to get a 38 special revolver no brains just pull the trigger until it stops going bang..
I have the LCP ll, in .22, and I am impressed with it. Extremely reliable, very light, and SUPER easy to conceal.
Good video. But I’ll stick with my M638.
No pocket pistol should be smaller than at least. 380 acp. .22, .32? Are you kidding? The Kahr PM9 and CM9 9mm, are great pocket size pistols too.
I just bought a Tomcat. It's now my #1 carry gun. It fits easily in my pocket and I just really like the feel of it in my hand. Previously I carried a Glock 42 most of the time. I'm surprised that S&W Bodyguard didn't make the list. It's my smallest, most easily concealed .380.
I have the Sig P-238 for my pocket pistol. Not sure why it didnt make this list.
waste of time.
Why no revolvers ?
Taurus Curve and 3032 made your list but Glock 42 did not. Just wondered why
I’m not much for pocket pistols, but the Sig P938, which I own, tops these IMO.
You talk about the Ruger LCP2 in9mm but show it in 22lr. I have a Ruger SR22P in 22lr and I love it, it is loaded with the Federal Personal Punch self defense rounds.
SCCY CPX2 3rd gen.
Unfortunately Taurus discontinued the TCP 380 which I own &love .. mine is ultra reliable and ultra accurate up to 50 ft.. it has decent sites for a tiny pocket pistol compared to most others.. it also has a last round hold open on the slide and you can manually activate the slide stop… I also own a Kel-Tec p32 first generation which is extremely accurate reliable and one of the lightest guns I own.. it has a metal clip on the side that I can clip onto sweatpants and even my tighty whities while walking around the house! I carry these pistols usually in the front pocket in a DeSantis Nemesis holster
Yeah I am one of those guys who owns a Taurus Curve and, yeah, I'm going to tell you that I really like it. (And I have have/had a lot of firearms). Just want to say that after a 100 rounds or so, then polishing the ramp a bit, another box or two of ammo to find what it likes it has been great! The only upgrade I did was putting a bead sight on it so I could tell which end of the pistol the bullet was going to coming out of…HA! Seriously, the "BB" sight made a big difference. I have been carrying mine since 2016, run 20-30 rounds through it every three months or so. It's surprisingly accurate (honestly) and can't remember the last time I had a malfunction. It is a unique firearm that fit it's purpose perfectly, but would not recommend to a new shooter with little patience. PS: I also like my Kahr PM 40 🙂
No mention of the Kahr P380? This pistol was reviewed by Hickok45, he’s a very well respected man in the firearms world. The Ruger LCP is a popular pistol. When you shoot the Kahr P380, you know it’s a better pistol from trigger to accuracy.
A few other pocket pistols should’ve made it on the list.
Taurus and Keltec? Total garbage as is the channel
The P-11, Curve and Mustang are no longer produced 😪
Glock 42, very accurate. Everybody knows why so I won't repeat it here.
this will be the last time i check this channel out. how many adds can be put in a short video ?
