I'm impressed with your patience. I would have had to refuse that job, the customer is very lucky to have you take the job + do a proper repair.
You have the patience of a saint. Thanks for showing your work once again.
You hunkered down on a terrible day at the office. Much patience.
Note to self: Stay away from Dodge Caliber! Nice job Tony.
Omg. I wanted a beer just watching you. GREAT JOB.
PATIENCE YOU HAVE A GIFT.
I replaced my 2007 Caliber driver's side switch first thing, as all 4 windows would stop working at the same time then start working all at the same time, continuing erratically. For my situation, it continued that issue after driver's door switch replacement. I then checked the drivers side door hinge wire loop, but all were in new shape. Then I started wiggling the wires at the drivers window switch while they were working and I got all the windows to stall slightly while wiggling them at the connector. It turned out the bite of one of the female switch terminals for one positive 12VDC was weak and was breaking connection causing an open during slight vibrations. I purchased two identical connectors from a local junkyard for 5 dollars and used the one that had the best clamping force when I used a single male stab during my testing. I changed the connector by cutting and soldering it in and using shrink wrap over all (7) solder joints. That solved the problem. Just to let everyone know, the connectors used on this car can not be repaired as I have done on other projects. A very bad design to start with. I hope this might help someone as this is a really good video for door servicing in general. Thanks Tony.
