The MP5SD is one of the coolest guns you will ever shoot. The MP5 reload is a point of contention for many. Due to the nature of the system, there are multiple ways you can reload the gun, although the class HK bolt slap is the preferred method.

What suppressors were on the MP5A3s at the end?
Awesome knowledge transfer!
Man how much does it cost to get MP5SD.
If you watch this in a mirror, it will kinda shield you from the genetic defect of wrong handedness
The MP5 SD is amazing to shoot on full auto. BUT, way past its prime. It's "limited roll" is very, very limited. It weighs about 10 pounds kitted out. It turns 124 grain NATO rounds into sub-sonics reducing penetration and range. It is also not a small gun. The ditty and manual of arms dance is freaking ridiculous on a battlefield.
Think I am wrong? Lets say you are a Ukraine volunteer and get to bring your primary weapon. How far down the list would the 10 pound MP5 SD be? It is about the same size as a AKM or M4 but weighs more.
Great vid boys!
Mmmmm. The sound of teutonic typewriters…
In the class back in 2004 they were teaching us that if we were doing a reload with the bolt forward then as you are inserting the mag strip a round off.
When they do a quick switch the difference in height is funny af
Another awesome video. But one topic was missing im my opinion, taking the information given, in the MP5 platform, we only can do a "tactical" reload reliably on a 28 round loaded magazine right?
Ahh oh man! That “frt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt-tt” is so 🤌🏻👌🏻
Can I ask what optic mount/claw you’re using to run the Eotech and alike?
Another great video boys!
I dont get how everything thats not an AR has a "unique" manual of arms and where the Problem is. If controls arent objectively bad, like a mag lever that gets bumped accidently, Manual of arms is not a problem. Getting to know the controls doesnt take long
Is Chris a Brendan Schaub fan
Alcohol is for slaves, use me as dislike button
Thank you 1911 I am digging this series and can't wait till the next one to pop. Keep up the awesome work.
The new Chicago typewriter? The Berlin typewriter, perhaps?

Entweder Höllenhund oder Teufelskerl?
The Mp5 is like the 1911 – Never get obsolete!
Gotta give us a G3 video
Great video and Great techniques. Exactly the same ways we were taught in the Corps by DAT guys and Combat Mermaids. Haven’t thought of or heard the term ditty in a couple of decades. I still use ditty’s training folks on all my weapons, especially IA/RA malfunction clearances. I think the reason TT and other instructors get so much flak on weapons handling, manipulations and manual of arms with this series of weapons is we were trained to use them the way it was designed, made and adapted way back in the day. AR’s, AK’s, HK’s etc have similarities and differences in their systems. Use commonality of techniques on their similarities but understand the differences and become knowledgeable and proficient in those to keep you and the gun running, clearing, reloading and operating as efficiently and effectively as possible. Extremely excellent fellas.
Woot woot 👍🏼🇺🇸🥃
Outstanding for the info provided and the filming which clearly showed all that was demonstrated.
Hahah 30 or 28. Def clowned all the haters
I prefer to BOOF
I especially appreciate the trash talk in this episode lol. Good shit guys. Looking forward to the next one.
James is Top Notch all the way! Thanks Gents!

No offense guys but US Brass house is crazy expensive. Over $500 for a case of ammo. With prices like that $40 off isn't even getting you to "competitive" pricing.
It’s super weird seeing you without a cap. Like seeing the rock with long hair.
“Certainty over probability” is a great phrase! I have never heard it before in my 62 years, including 20 in the military. But I am stealing it! This man explains and demonstrates everything so precisely and clearly! I am sure he is in demand as an instructor/trainer. I like the ditty method because my brain is always off wandering around 😂
So based on all the reviews on this channel and the community's knowledge, what would you guys recommend if you could get 1 GP AR rifle and 2 handguns, one for EDC and one for range/home defense/open carry with an unlimited budget?
Get you a girl that stares at you the way James stares at that MP5 😍
Yeah no… I do appreciate the MP5, but it's severely out dated.
Also being a former career Marine, with James coming out of nowhere with Teufelshund Tactical, and now with you guys at 1911 Syndicate, a new appreciation for the MP5 has now become a cool addiction. Semper Fi, Mac…..
Good video guys, really liking this series.
Thanks
James is awesome always liked how knowledgeable he is regarding HK firearms
What great timing, my zf-5 just got here

great series, am learning a lot…thank you!
The MP5 is still right up there with the best, the B&T APC series is the heir to the throne though.. The main issue I have with the MP5 is the reload though… Now that being said at least the charging handle is on the proper side and the handle does not reciprocate like an AK.. And also since its a compact weapon its easy to work the handle unlike the heavy and cumbersome G3… But its still overall a slower reload and inferior to something like an APC9 or UMP45…
What i dont understand is that the MP510mm and .40 cal were able to solve the issue and have a last round hold open, but then they never came out with a 9mm A6 and A7 version that did the same thing.. They just left it… That makes zero sense considering they did it for the 10mm and .40…
Also for all the people that say don't rag on the AK or G3 for having awful reloads … It was early on with assault rifles … Look at the FAL… Proper side charging handle and last round hold open…
Love this series
I keep noticing that left handed mp5 slap
"The gun has it´s fair share of haters"
Darling there are 8 billion people on this godforsaken dustball. There are people who hate Mangos.
I load my magazines all to 30 except for one, I'll load to 28 rounds and load it with the bolt forward as a nightstand bed. It took practice to be able to be 100% certain I was seating the magazines while loading with the bolt forward, but without slamming it in and thereby risking damaging the lips of the magazines. I've found that when I position my hands just right, I can reliably load with the bolt forward every time and without over manhandling things.
I tried the dual mag clamp before deciding it didn't suit me. I almost liked using it with one mag reversed, so as to keep the extra mag out of my way on the right side of the gun, but now I've decided it wasn't worth the loss of maneuverability for my use case.
First time watching you all and I am a new AP5 owner. Wanted MP5 for 30+ years and finally did it it cost effectively. Could not be happier with the purchase (exception ammo finnicky the first 1000rnds) but so glad the information is available to really learn about this weapon system. Thanks so much!
My first transferable machine gun was an MP-5, (transferable sear). But almost 50 years before "Project 64", General John T. Thompson's beautiful "Trench Broom" had a bolt hold open. 1918 BAR, M-14, FN-FAL, AR-10/15. I think the bolt hold open was a thing, just saying.
Is this the gun we down load to 28 rounds?
