Every State Ranked by Education. (All 50 US States)
Every State Ranked by Education. (All 50 US States)
We have been asked about the education rankings in the US. As we got closer to the school year more requests came in. Parents don’t want to buy a home in a place that has bad schools.
School scores actually play a role in real estate prices.

3:32: uhhh, Nevada isn't exactly "right next door to New Mexico". Yeah, they both have a Las Vegas, but there's a state in between, which was also #50 on this list. 3:40: Ok, you got me, but did you know that there's a Las Vegas in Mexico? You didn't, admit it!🤣🤣🤣
My mom taught in public elementary schools for 40 years in Worcester, MA, the second largest city in the state. She spent some years in every grade from kindergarten through 5th grade. I like to think she contributed to the state’s top quality education.
Fake rank.
Wow, California isn’t last anymore! 🙄
I remeber in my school days the kids that came from the south and midwest were always at the bottom of the class. especially in reading and math.
NIce job, i heartily disgree with the list. Most of my education came outside of school. I'm grateful for that, I have had a lifetime of learning which can only be obtained through freedoms that we enjoy, or have enjoyed, in this country. The only true diversity is the diversity of thought. I am grateful for that. Wish good to all.
you left out dc
That’s not bad!
Does that include the percentages that attend past elementary school and high school?
Arizona, Louisiana, Alaska, New Mexico, Nevada, OK, CA, AL, WV, MS, SC, ID, MT, HI, MI, NC, OR, GA, AR, TN, FL, SD, IN, ND, TX, UT, WY, WA, CO, OH, KS, KY, MO, IL, ME, IA, NE, WI, RI, PA, MN, DE, MD, VT, NH, VA, NY, CT, NJ and MA
what a bunch of lies. The Gov has ranked CALIFORNIA 50th in education quality based on HS graduates.
Don't say that California has never had a great school system. I graduated from high school in 1962 and the schools were great. I sailed through college and two post graduate degrees with flying colors.
I grew up in the SF Bay Area and graduated high school pre Prop 13. I got an excellent education, even though my high school was not located in a wealthy district.
LLEEEETTTTSSSS GOOOOO WEST VIRGINIA
New Mexico used to in the top third in education. Close to Los Alamos and Sandia labs. High tech used to be all around. Now its dead last and the local university is rated the most dangerous in the US. Can you guess what happened? Democrats betrayal with the open border. The latinos openly mock education.
WHERZ VA I DONT WANT TO WATCH ITTTTTTT
we cannot trust the federal government or the department of education to rank states correctly.
bruh ngl i was expecting hawaii to be even worse, like the education is so bad that it isnt just that one cluster of students to fail, it can be nearly half a grade statewide that is done for 💀
Duh, my IQ be good. Duh, 2 + 2 = 52 states. Duh, 3 x 3 x 3 be 9 !!! er, 6 ???? 333 ?????
Duh, a 1920's school would be way better !!!
California is hard to judge, as it is almost like a country, with standard of living so different thought out the state. Third largest in size, and close to 40 million people, the poor were left in the old rundown areas, while people of means relocated to the suburbs. Major population growth until recently, led to new communities, with new schools. A highly taxed state did provide some of the top paid teachers in the U.S. In the 1950's when California was well run, before its mighty fall from sanity, the state built a community, state, and university collage system envy of the world.
All this to say, education is either some of the best, or worst offered anywhere. But pull together the stats from The L.A. area, and a few other large cities with major immigration, low income issues, mix with the well run school districts of middle and upper class communities, and the ranking is low.
Hmmm … I was looking for sourcing here because Florida has spent many years at or within a state or two of the bottom of the barrel. I doubt that has suddenly changed since 2019, especially with a "same ol'" governor and administrative climate. If you look for states where the officials want to get up in front of cameras and declare themselves the best, those are predictably among the worst–which is why they feel the need.
There's an irony to the list. Come from a high school in a state near the bottom, and nail your grades and SATs, and you can go anywhere for college. Go to high school in MA, or CT, and want to get in to a great college, you better also be a concert pianist or an outside linebacker in addition to those great grades.
Florida Man here. My grandson goes to Pineview. It's also rated #5 in the nation as of 2021.
I skipped ahead to #12. That made it clear that all the top school states 1) have cold weather and 2) are not big and empty. Looks like states were kids can out and do stuff in the winter don't do as well in school.
Of the bottom 25 states, 22 have republican administrations, while 3 have democratic administrations. Of the top 10 systems, 9 are in states with democratic administrations, while only 1 is in a state with a republican administration (which just took over from a democratic administration).
Is anyone surprised that the republican educational systems are horrible, while the democratic systems are top notch? No wonder there are so many TrumpoTards.
What do you have against CT 😢
The Left: "Every little thing is about RACE!!!!"
OK, Can we rank states by education and race?
The Left: "NOOO!!!! ONLY RACISTS WOULD DO THAT!!!"
But if everything is about race, then… oh… so you're racists but not very… nevermind.
thoughts on Lincoln high school??? I need some school pride
I still think you should do a video on best states for educators. Looking at things like class size, public support, salary, professional support, and stuff like that.
Where’s Nebraska😂
Video idea: Number 1 state for economic stability, number 1 for education, number 1 for safest (crime), etc.
MA!! Didn't shock me at all that we came in number 1.
Where does the USA rank in the world. Not even in the top 10 because education in this country stinks.😔
You should show by color in this video which of these states are most currently red and blue (I guess anything more than most recent would be too tedious for one video). A great way to overlap info without sounding overtly political.
No wonder most of the ignorant and evil politicians are from red state's.
Iowa here, we've been #9 past 5 years…. wonder what happened here, but yes… Iowa education is top notch. Safety is excellent, as well.
What is your source for this?
Way to go Kentucky. I am a teacher in Kentucky and we always rank so low in education so I was pleasantly surprised to see us at 19.
Let's hear it for New York!
Yea Massachusetts!
dude im from michigan but i moved to texas and oh my god this place is really good lol damm !!!!
It's called misery
I'm not surprised that Minnesota is so high. I graduated 21 years ago with a Special Education major from a college in Sioux Falls, SD, which is 12 miles from the Minnesota border. We always talked in classes about the HUGE gap in teacher pay between Minnesota & the rest of the area.
Unions work to improve their members benefits at the cost of their customers in this case school students.
How may of you googled Chucks Hog Pellet Academy for the Criminally Insane, just to make sure it doesn't actually exist?
I think some of these high ranked states are cookin the books.
Now i'm really wondering just who paid for this study.. The numbers seem way off in a lot of cases..
of course its always the conservative states trailing the liberal states
Some schools have had to "dumb down" because of all of the immigrant students coming in. If they don't speak English, the teachers need to slow down and work with them. Most schools have bi-lingual teachers but that still doesn't seem to help as much.
