Damn, dude.
And now what happened on Dynamite Aug 24. 🙁
Lmao should have waited an extra 9 hours to release this video
he literally got his ass whupped. either he’s hurt or he’s outta the company soon.
As someone who's not the biggest CM Punk fan (just never seen much of his critically acclaimed work, just his WWE bits in the early 2010s) it's been good to watch. His big PPV matches have delivered, and his feud with MJF was (and probably will be) feud of the year. If the shot at Hangman during his recent promo was real then I'm not a huge fan of that as it came across as petty, but that's really the only negative I can think of during his first year, which is a rumour more than anything, so he's done well for himself.
Was not expecting a Chromeo reference. What a bop!
anyone else getting audio issues with ross or is it my set up?
Algorithm
Am I the only one that hates Kingston? He comes across like such a 🔔 in interviews and just seems to hate everyone in AEW
Ross please stop saying huck just because of the way Americans say it, it sounds weird coming from a geordie just embrace hook 😂
Mid noughties Bolton Wanderers getting a mention in a 2022 CM Punk video 💪🏻😂
Did Jack at the end say they're "just normal men"? Ohno Jack, the normal men, just innocent men lineup is Maffew, Tom and Young Andrew. They had a fantastic podcast a while back!
Cultaholic is awesome 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I thought he meant Eddie Edwards as rhe other Eddie lol
Here after Mox vs Punk.
"Fall of Punk."
– Tom Campbell (Called It )
I said this a year ago Cm Punk is overrated
Shouts out to Bolton Wanderers
"the fall of punk" line from Tom is so brilliant, I want it to happen now
The curse strikes once again, lol.
Personally, I started sour on Punk during his feud with Hangman Page. Punk was the established Mega Star, while Page was the underdog, plus he had a fantastic story backing him up, so I was bummed out big time when Page lost, and I groaned at the Interim Champion phase.
He was injured! Strip him of the belt! At least it ended with Mox getting ban awesome moment.
he's great on the mic, but damn his in-ring skills have absolutely tanked, every match is filled with shit timing and a couple dozen botches.. he's no doubt one of the greats but come on folks, he's not the guy he once was. the hype will die of and he will bitch about things not going his way and only his way (like we
Anyone saying Punk’s in-ring work isn’t up to snuff just doesn’t get the business, if you ask me. Sure, he isn’t doing ALL the moves and all the dives and all the flips. But the simple fact of the matter is he doesn’t need to. He engages the crowd by making old new again, by putting his focus on storytelling, by emphasizing the basics of wrestling and it’s worked in spades. It isn’t as flashy as the work of his peers, sure, but it’s arguably timeless. Wrestling, as with any medium, evolves over time and its fandom will demand crazier and crazier showings in-ring but even then, the classics stand the test of time because story is at the center of them, and Punk’s work is right to take its cues from that.
Can you do a series looking at other timelines from the perspective of a certain wrestler
My wife has only started watching wrestling within the last two/three years, I've tried to explain how like big and amazing Punk was back in the day but she just thinks he's overated and is a bit of a dick. I found it quite interesting getting the perspective of someone who's first experence of Punk is his AEW run. But for what it's worth i think his first year in AEW has been amazing.
I was there when Punk returned, faced Darby, had his first promo with MJF abs first match with MJF. Have really enjoyed Punk returned
What an amazing year for CM Punk from First Dance was such an great promo. He elevated almost everyone he was in the ring with. Could have done without his matches against Sydal, Qt Marshall & Lee Moriarty. His feud against MJF was the best feud in AEW history and recovered MJF after that Jericho feud. His feud with Adam Page wasn't great I put all blame on the Elite & Page being up set that real stars were now in the company. Shame he got injured when he did and will wait to see what happens next after putting Moxley over in Dynamite.
Forced Colt Cabana out of AEW, kept Stu Grayson and Allan Angels from being resigned, buried 3 of 4 young pillars of AEW, took the title from an original Adam Page who deserves it and absolutely REFUSES to lose to him. So everything he bitched about before going home for 7 years. Great job Phill.
Seeing this after the pov scrum😁
This video is 13 days too soon 😂
Who's here after Allout where the first year of Punk maybe the only year of CM Punk in AEW?
If only this came out 2 weeks later.
lol. funny in restrospect
