"Modernized" Mosin Sniper Rifle in Use!
Mosin is pushing over 130 years in service. Around the globe, people still use Mosin rifles, often in the sniper role, during combat. Recent wars in Syria and Ukraine are best examples of it…”Modernized” Mosin Sniper Rifle is here!

Wow Rob, I had absolutely no idea this channel existed until now. I love your akou channel and vids, now I have more to love! I also love my 42 Mosin 91/30 .
🤦
I love it each time Ols says,” let’s’ go.”
You can't complain about the "garbage rod" moniker, nor confuse this rifle with a regular Mosin: this rifle equates to one of the "1 of 1000" 1873 Winchesters back in the day, where all the stars aligned to come off the line with exceptional accuracy, nor does one expect it to perform that way when feeding it the Uber cheap spam can crap that went hand in hand with earning the "garbage rod" nickname. Back when you could buy a rifle for $90 and a spam can of 440rds for the same, "garbage rod" was a term of affection, like calling your giant friend "Tiny…"
Scope Mount please.?
I really wish companies would make a modern, bolt action in 762x54r, they are totally missing out on the cheapest .30 caliber cartridge available
Who would laugh on a 7/62X54R? Those who praise the 308?
🖖🏻🇫🇷😎🇫🇷😎🇫🇷🖖🏻
Good Job Rob !!!
I bought 2 of them a few years back for $90.00 each, best money I ever spent!
Thank you. Love mine. They can deliver the goods. Cheers.
In ALL my 50 yrs of shooting and watching shooters, this is the FIRST TIME I'm impressed, with a stock miosin, wow, good shooting sir,
watch garand thumb's giga chad mosin
Doe's anyone know what spotting scope he use's? I'm in dire need of a new one to help my old eye's.
I love the mosin…I have a plain 91/30 that I put a timney trigger in, and I cork bedded the barrel…I load a 174gr PPU fmj or Sierra MK…and it will make hits at 300 yards with iron sights…they can be and are accurate rifles
This inspires me to put a suppressor on my FN49. I saw a photo of a guy in Ukraine who had a silenced svt-40, and possibly a scope. I wonder if he is still kicking.
Love To See Ola
I love the Mosin. I have had one for years.
Americans told me that this rifle is rubbish but because it is cheap they buy it in the US now after watching your video I think a lot of idiots making YouTube videos they have no clue ! Thanks for this beautiful video I really enjoyed watching it
Where can someone find a bent bolt?
That mosin was kicking butt may have to work on mine
is the bullet tumbling?
Would love to have your reloading recipe for the load your shooting in this video. As always outstanding shooting.
Best gun video I have seen in a long time!
Its a hard toss up between what rifle put more dicks in the dirt, the mosin or the AK. Don't underestimate your babushka's bolt action.
Zeby Ci sie kanal rozwijal obejrze wszystkie Twoje video I zostawie komentarz I kciuka w gore na wszystkich video.
Ringing steel in the rain, awesome
Thank you for another high quality video. Simple truth, Rob, as you will already know: some people like to assume that every 1903 model rifle will shoot to National Match standard and that every Mosin rifle will shoot to wartime production (with the worst wartime ammunition) standard. Roy Dunlap wrote the following, on p. 652 (The Garand Rifle chapter) of Gunsmithing 2nd Ed.:
Most of the experts of course were sentimentally attached to the 1903 Springfield with its famed but untrue reputation of being the world’s most accurate military rifle. The Springfield’s reputation was made at Camp Perry’s National Matches, with the National Match Springfield, which was definitely superior in every way to the Springfield Service Rifle. As an army range sergeant, I saw too many service 1903s which had difficulty staying in a 10” group at 200 yards, fired from a sandbag rest.
True, a good percentage of service Springfields could be rebedded and tuned to match standards, but, as was, issued to line soldiers, they were distinctly not the rifle the civilian thought they were.
Nice work with the Mosin!
Does that 6x scope have parallax adjustment ?
Please do a video with bigger calibers
Another good show. Thx momma for the fine photography.
You, sir (and daughter!), are so damned cool! Always interesting, and seem to be really biased only by terminal effect !(I want to avoid incorrect use of "accuracy", "precision", and roll it into a meaningful statement. 🙂 )
Could you put maybe a small "z" , or blue/red/white stripes on the targets, since it's a Ukrainian rifle?
A small joke ..GIGO..Garbige in, Great-shooting out!
Really cool…when i zoomed my video in, i could see the shock wave of the bullet, and see the trajectory…
Could a person use a tiny fan to reduce mirage…a fan from USB, for instance, could be quite small, and very quiet … hmmm… something that looked about like a laser, or flashlight, that puts a slow, quiet 'breeze' over the barrel / suppressor? Maybe crazy, just thinking 'out loud'.
I wonder if they did a re-barrel when modifying the rifle or if they just grab some good shooters and slap a scope mount rail, bend the bolt, and cut the stock.
Mosin is such a fun rifle for a good price.
Is is possible to do a show and tell on the rifle build, and load data. I've seen many modified mosin rifles and this is the best shooting I've seen. And best looking
Where can you get a mosin in that configuration from Ukraine?
My dead stock 91/30 with iron sights routinely hits the 450 yard gong with milsurp ammo (Czech silvertip), with me firing from seated position. No lead sled or sandbags needed. It really pisses off the mall ninja crowd lol. Maybe I just lucked out and got a good one? Maybe they're all that accurate? Who knows…
I have a 91/30 that has been a several year project. Needs a barrel if anyone can help but love these ww2 bolt guns and its neat that they are still being used today
